I have some year old Leghorns that have purple combs. They are the same weight but I have seen a decrease in egg laying. They have not undergone any change in diet. I did give them some dewormer to no avail. I have five other chickens but they have no purple comb. All six of my Leghorns have the purple comb though. What should I do?

Looks almost like frostbite to me. I saw it over winter with some of my cockerels with larger combs.

I'd check the ventilation in your coop; a poorly ventilated coop will encourage moisture, which can cause frostbite during cold nights.
