I was wondering if anyone could let me know what to expect if I bred my purple hen to an IB or an IB pied? I have both and I'm trying to figure out the best combo. Thanks in advance!

A purple hen bred to an India Blue or a IBPied will produce all blue hens and blue males split to purple, If it is the pied male the birds should be split to pied. On the sex link colors it is the male that makes the difference in what you get. ,,,.good luck.. George

IB dad X Purple mom =
all sons IB split to Purple
all daughters IB

IB Pied dad X Purple mom =
50% sons IB split to Purple and White, 50% sons IB split to Purple and Pied
50% daughters IB split to White, and 50% daughters IB split to Pied

:-)

what if the ib and ib pied dads are split to purple?

Look at the results from the dads NOT being split to Purple, and of the sons, expect 50% to be visual for Purple, and 50% of the daughters being visual for Purple.

:-)

He means that in theory you should get half visually Purple sons and half that are IB split to Purple. Of the daughters you will get half that are Purple and half that are IB. Of course this never works out exactly as it does on paper, eggs get broken, eggs quit developing, chicks fail to hatch, all of these variables will make the actual results different from the "in theory" results.
