I put eggs in the bator on 9-9-12 anyone want to hatch along.

I have 6 Tolbunt over Birchen Marans and
4 Olive eggers (Tolbunt over Birchen Maran/ Black Ameraucanas)

I put eggs in 9-6 and 9-10 - so I wouldn't mind joining in.

I have mostly EEs, silkies, sizzles and bantam Ameraucanas in there. It will be a staggered hatch.

I built a cooler-bator with thermostat and forced air. This is my first time hatching, so I went small... About 40eggs

Turned on 9/6/12, I candled yesterday for the first time, it appears to my untrained eye it's around 70% fertilized/growing at this point.

Today I candled again, just obsessive compulsive... And some of my un hopeful ones looked to be growing.

Primarily I have barred rocks. My buf Plymouth rock and blue copper Marans have gotten to the hens so unknown mutt chickens will result.

Also I'm braving a staggered hatch. We will see how that goes

I have 10 in my bator.

I have 50+ in mine, but I think a lot of my Ameraucana eggs are infertile Rooster may have been too young, or not aggressive enough. The girls don't squat for him, but he dances and does everything to impress.

I'm going to use the spare rooster if he doesn't start getting at those girls!

Yeah, started small, lol. I put in 12 the. Figured.... "well some
Won't be fertile and some will die and some will be roosters... Soo 40 eggs should net me 10-15 pullets?

I'll join. I have 12 in total put 4 in today have 4 different hatch dates. Mine are cochin/silkie mix. Waiting is the hard part.
