YAY Gilbert !!!! I understand how attached you are to him... I am the same with Rosie... I am adding vitamins to her water, and limiting her to strictly pasture, with only veggies now. Trying to get her to lose a few pounds and keep her happier and healthier for as long as possible

Please don't make the diet too drastic for either of them. Just cut back a little at a time. Those oversize bodies need quite a bit of quality nutrition, but there is no problem with making them work for it.

When I turn my turkeys out on the lawn in summer, I toss the scratch in the grass when I move the pen to new ground. They have to hunt for it, and get a lot more exercise than gulping out of a trough. And what they miss, sprouts for a snack next time!

How can I make him hunt for it, he always expects food in his silver pan lol

Put the feed in his pan, shake it, and make him follow you for a short walk before you set it down for him. Work up the distance over time.
