My chicks are as big as the adults and will be putting them in with the nine adult hens soon there is 24 of the 10 week olds,my question is they are on chick grow and should be untill they are four months old,how am I going to feed them the chick grow and the adult hens there layer crumble, can I mix the two togather so both will get some of what the need?I`m sure someone else has had this problem what have you done?I have to move the 24 in with the adults soon as they are running out of room in there small coop.

The usual solution is to feed everyone grower and offer oyster shell free choice as a calcium supplement for the layers. Supposedly the younger ones will eat little or none of the oyster shell.
