Putting dog hair in nests to act as a deterrent

Hey guys! I've been seeing stuff about this lately, and I was wondering if anyone has tried it?

Supposedly putting dog hair in your nests can ward off predetors because they hate the smell.

Does anyone know if this works?

Nothing like lights, statues, or scents will work to deter predators for long enough to matter. Everyone loves chicken!
It's all about safe housing.

If that where the case.. no birds nests or any nests in the wild would be gone thru.. since most birds and other animals gather hairs for nesting material.. its bunk..

If only this we're there!! My golden retriever/Chow mix sheds enough to generate a pup half his size almost every day!! Lol but no. Doesn't do anything really. Just makes a mess.
