Putting eggs in the bator on July 25, does anyone wanna hatch along???

I want to vote for the Birchen Maran/ Tolbunt because, I want that to be the one that wins. Honestly though I think the winner is either gonna be a White Ameraucana or one of the Sussex. Okay Chicken Tamer has picked Speckled Sussex and Litlejenary has picked Wheaton Marans. So I guess I am gonna go with Coronation Sussex.

No pips or chips yet.

I guess that is good though it will give a little time for two more people to join our game before we know who is in the lead.

Ok I have 4 pip and the fun has started. I had to go to work big week at work part two of the E.A. Exam. Rhonda is manding the bator so it is in good hands, lots of coffee will be drank today. I will post a picture later tonight if I have any hatched. One had pip when I got up and 3 more as I was getting ready to leave for work. I know Rhonda will have fun today watching life begain. I have most of these chicks spoken for we are keeping two of the breeds for our breeders.

Coffee!!!!!!!

Yeah!!!

I had no idea they started peeping before they pip. I woke up and heard a chirping, a jumped up and ran expecting to see a chick. Nothing. So I went back to bed thinking I was dreaming but I know I heard it again. So I sat down by the bator and listened and there was no mistaking....peep peep peep.

Very first pipper pipped the wrong end. I broke away a little more of the egg and cleared away the membrane from its beak. I think I almost waited to long cause, when I did it was no longer pipping and seemed tired. It was breathing heavy. It has been I guess about 10 minutes since that happened and he has started chipping again.

So I think he/ she will be okay but, its probably out of the race of being first baby out. I will probably have to finish helping it out after everyone else is out. I guess that is okay as long as it is okay. That breed is still in the game though because, I have two others.

We still need to more people to join the first hatch game.

Sorry for posting every little bit of my hatch, I just like talking to other people who get into their chicks as much as I do. My family likes the chickens but, not as much as me.

Uggh, I gotta quit watching them and get some work done.
