Putting eggs in the bator on July 25, does anyone wanna hatch along???

13 have hatched and the other 5 have pip, the first one pip was a white legger and it still has not hatched 24 hours after pip. Still left to hatch 3 white leggers,1 Brama and 1 Jersey. Come on chicky baby you can do it! Ok I got to get the brooder ready so it is warm and toasty for the transfer. Good luck to all. I have enjoyed this thread a lot.

HELP!!!!
He pipped upside down. I heard peeps yesterday, didn't hear anything after that but I had read that you sometimes hear peeps 24 hours before pipping.
Well, I didn't want to touch anything but I had to add water. Opened the bator and he has a pretty decent hole but I don't hear chirps or see movement.
I wet the membrane because it looked white, upped the humidity and took the carton out and latex it on its side but now I don't know if I should leave it alone or try to help.

I think it may already be too late. :(

DANDY DOODLE Thank you so much for the help and calming factor.Believe it or not I slept all night even well got up to check humidity once.I may not have but for you being there

Well I wanted a race but, looking like Speckled Sussex won hands down. Came to check on everyone and both Speckled Sussex have been born.

We now have 2 coronation Sussex pips, a white Ameraucana pip and a Wheaton Maran pip but the Speckled Sussex is winner.

I could see one getting to the point where it was all "old hat" enough to just go about your day and let the eggs (and Nature) do their thing -- after maybe, oh, six hundred eggs or so. Hee! Not this first one!

I would carefully enlarge the pip to see if the baby is still moving...hold the egg to your ear too. If nothing, I'd carefully chip away around the egg and give it a bit of a hand
