putting them in the LG tomorrow want to join me?

Look at all the precious chicks! Congratulations!
I had to open the hatcher this morning because the chicks that hatched yesterday (Day 21) eviscerated a new chick as it hatched this morning --- they can be so nasty.

That's so sweet to see just the three, wheaten Serama, white Silkie, black Rock.

Been forever since i've been on BYC, but im happy to say I have one orp hatched as we speak! 2 more are zipping as it is. The one that is hatched looks like a lavendar, but it might be a splash. I'll be able to take a picture once he's into the temporary brooder

Hello all! Sounds like everyone is doing great with their hatches! Anything new this morning? I went to bed last night with 6 in the brooder, 3 in the bator just hatched and my last three eggs each with a pip. Well this morning I had 6 in the bator!!! That means out of all 12 I put in lockdown . . . all 12 hatched!!! I am so pleased and happy to report that my LG did a great job! Here are a few pics of all the babies in the booder. Most of them look to be mutt orpington chics meaning a mixed color breed, but I don't care and am hoping for lots of pullets!~

HI,
Is the thread finished??????
Have Seramas on day 19......................
Making me crazy.I have had a run of really lousy hatches but these are my own.
Gives me some hope......
Loved the pictures.

Toni,

I think most us us are subscribed, so not finished at all! Good luck on your chickies!! I don't have any seramas, but I know Donna does! Please post pics when you get yours hatched. Are they shipped eggs or your own? What sort of trouble are you having with hatches. I know my first hatch stunk this year, but it was with shipped eggs so . . . I got 7 babies out of 28 eggs

, but this time I picked my eggs up and got 12 out of 18 with four being clear, one blood ring and one I killed during a candleing mishap. How many eggs do you have on day 19? Mine all hatched this time on day 20 and the hatch was complete within 24 hours which I have heard means things went well. Who knows. Looking forward to seeing your new babies!

HI,
Glad the thread is still going.........
I have not participated much, but really enjoyed keeping up reading and seeing the results of great hatches.
Heres the deal.I have had several 0 hatches in the past few months.shipped...........but still
hu.gif

I decided to hatch some of my own to determine what the problems are.( if I can)
Did all the things you would expect.calibrated, sterilized ect. ect.
I do believe I was running my humidity to high.about 35.....occasionally jumped a liltte higher.....
Was getting some to lockdown and then nothing.
I set 4 Serama eggs and 12 mixed from my layer flock.lock down yesterday...............
I ran my humidity 25 to 30 this time.
Temp 100.humidity 60 at this time and it has been consistant.
I always feel so guilty when I think I have killed them.grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Do not need to tell you how much I spent on shipped eggs.Wow..
I really do not blame the sellers.all nice BYC folks that did wonderful jobs packing..........
I have LG still air and am going to order a fan soon.
Cannot figure out the wiring for a computer fan.
Just easier to buy one.

I noticed the little Serama eggs are rocking, but no chirps yet..........
Thats it , Later
