I have 44 chicks, and want to make one of these. Do I have this correct.... 4 inch PVC and 60 degree elbow is the best.?? Also, how long is the longest I can make the feeder dish, and how long can I make the one to pour the feed into? Thanks, in advance!

Anybody ever used galvanized HVAC duct to build a feeder like this? The elbows in those things are adjustable to whatever angle works best for you, and the pipe itself can be up to 8" in diameter...would hold a lot of feed!

I'm even thinking there's probably some kind of vent/register adapter that could double as a funnel up top...

Monk .... did you make yours? How is it working?
I am just gettting ready to make one. Any advise? Can I make a long one, say 6 foot long? Will that be too long for the food to slide down to?
