this is my new PVC feeder that dh and I rigged up today using the requiste pvc and a cut out plastic jar! Im so proud of it!
This is a cheap, dollar store plastic mixing bowl with a hole in the bottom hanging on a chain that will hopfully act as a "cabana" or umbrella in the rain to keep the feed dry.
This last pic is of the girls using the cabana feeder.. I sprinkled some scratch in there to get their attention so now they know where the groceries are. Its a teeny bit small for 3 chickens and I can imagine that Omelette, low girl on the totem pole will end up having to wait her turn, but it holds more than they could eat in a week so it should be fine.
