Pygmies or Nigerian Dwarfs?

Nigerians come in lots of colors. Pygmies come in only 3. Nigis are better milk goats, pygmies are more meat goats. I love my nigis.

I got 100 hogs on the farm and I swear they don't eat as much as those goats want to eat..LOL

good thing don't don't require alot or I couldn't afford to have them--little eating machines.

oh worst sight I ever see is when one does not eat.....I know that is super trouble then. When a goat won't eat....yow-za! Panics me all the time!

I love making them holler at me....sometimes I holler at them when they are being quiet just cause they are being too quiet.......I couldn't live without 'em!

If you didn't know my wether was a wether you'd think he was pregnant with triplets. He's only 22lbs too. My 2 goats eat 2 flakes of hay everyday. I have no idea where they pack it all.

2 flakes a day! Where do they put it! My 4 eat 1 flake a day plus grain. The other day I was having a gal show me how to trim their hooves and she told me that before I breed Mama goat that maybe she should drop a few pounds. LOL! I showed her a picture of her when she first came to live here she was as wide as she was long.

Okay so they are probably a little overfed. I started feeding them more once it got colder and there was less grass in the pasture. They still cost way less then paying for feed for my chickens. I buy hay down your way down in Chehalis.

You are right, they are cheaper to feed than the chickens. I recently downsized my flock due to the price of feed.

BTW, you asked earlier about the 3 colors "Agouti" black with silver tipping , Black and Carmel. I hope someone chimes in as I may be mistaken. My friend has a tri colored pygmy buck.....he's way too cute!
