Pygmy Goats!

I'm in Puerto Rico. Most animals are more expensive here, maybe it's because being away from the mainland reduces supply.

Ouch! The fact that you are in Puerto Rico and we're not means you will have to do your own research as to whether that is a good deal on the goats. I've also never heard of Pygmies being priced any where near that price in my area. Is there a way you can find other breeders there and talk to them about pricing?

If anyone is interested in pygmy goats, boy do I have a deal for you! I have 3 pregnant pygmies and they are all due within the next 60 days.. Just come to El Paso Texas and choose which ones you'd like! My herd is getting entirely too large and I prefer my Boers...They are much friendlier than the pygmies...

I would take 2 if you were closer, we have been wanting to add goats to our family for a while but $150-$175 each I think is a bit much and that is what they are asking around me.

I got all my pygmies off of Craigs List. I paid more than most here are quoting, but nothing close to Eduardo. I think the most we paid was $75 for our Buck....but he made the most beautiful babies. Our Does and wether were $50-60 each.

None of them are registered and I'm suspicious of the purity of one of the does and the wether. However, the size and the price were right, and they are gorgeous animals.

Good Luck Eduardo!!! BTW I understand about the dog. Mine drives us crazy chasing the geese and the ducks into the pond. About 2 weeks ago we started throwing him into the pond each time he does it. (He's only a 20lb terrier). Now, when he starts to chase and we call his name he looks back and seems to think "shoot they see me" and stops. He doesn't want to go for a swim. I know if he ever catches one of them, or one of our chickens who are in the goat pasture he'll kill it for sure.

I really want one, but we live in the city and already have chickens when were not supposed too, so I don't think we could keep a goat.

my son is looking for a pygmy goat or two, he lives in south central indiana.

anyone know where he can find any?

Pygmies in my area of california seem to be around $100 for bucks and $200-350 for does (babies). Adults males you can get for around $50 and adult females for around $150-200.

I haven't seen any females lower than $200 in the last six months or so that I've been casually looking (don't really have the space for one, yet).
