PYGMY/NIGERIAN DWARF GOATS

It would really depend on the parents and how good of udder conformation they had, or throw. I know that the doe that just kidded for us has a nice little udder on her, but the father has only thrown bucks. Three so far this year from him. He is the Nigerian part. I have several Nigerians pregnant by him, but if we get a doe they will be 100% Nigerian, so I still won't know for sure. Lets just say it can't hurt to try!

My Nigis are awesome milkers. They of course, don't produce as much as larger goats, but more than enough for me.

I have never crossed the two, but the pygmies I had didn't have enough to be worth it. My nigis milk really well though! If you already have it I'd try it, but if you are just considering it and want it for milk then I would pass and find a pure nigi (or full sized dairy goat (or dairy cross), but I am assuming you are wanting the smaller size?) or mini dairy breed (nigi crossed w/ full sized dairy).

It's a bred made of Pygmy/Nubian Cross. Looks similar to pygmy around the same size. With better teats and milk.

I breed these lovely goats, and they are great. Look them up, or look at my website. It's not finished or updated though.

You won't get much milk from a pygmy/nigerian cross. A pygmy is actually considered a meat goat. I think the teats would be too small to milk and milk production would be low.
