Pygmy Rattlesnake

yeah i get it.. xcept.. my line of thought is... cool i dont have one of those.. and it is so pretty,, and its free...... BUT it can KILL me.. so i leave it where i found it... then again the only rattlesnakes around my house are the MOJAVE GREENS.. (they are more deadly than other types)!

My free range fowl eat small snakes all the time. They like ANY meat they can get. Never saw it kill a chicken eating them. They will gather round a large snake and make an awful racket until the dogs show up to take care of the problem THEN they eat what's left of the snake. Snakes got to be FAST running through THIS little farm!

Thanks for all your responses. My chickens are fine after the snake episode. BTW, I am in Florida. Snakes all year around...
