A friend of mine brought over a black Silkie pullet last night as a gift. I have my 4 month old flock of standard size chickens in a large coop with attached covered run. They've been together since they were a few days old and I didn't want them to hurt the new Silkie girl, so I went to my local feed store to buy a pen to separate the chickens. Lo and behold, "Terry the Chicken Man" was set up in the parking lot selling everything from pigeons to geese. I fell in love with this young bantam pair and brought them home. Trouble is, he told me they were "spangled Oehlingers" and I can't find anything on that breed (if it exists). Close as I could come in my research was the Pyncheon or Mille Fleur.
Can anyone hazard a guess as to what kind of birds have now joined our merry little flock?
Thanks in advance, and forgive my newbie impulsiveness.

Deb
P.S. After hearing the bantam roo crow, my young Maran rooster found his voice. Needless to say, hubby is thrilled we now have two crowing roosters on our farm. NOT. lol
