She looks so different than the other pyncheons. And I had an adult that looked like that, almost quail with a white spot here and there.
I don't really know what's going on. If you want to breed chickens with good Mille Fleur coloring, you could just cull the oddballs. (Cull in this case meaning to avoid breeding from them, no matter what means you use. Keeping odd ones in a separate coop and not hatching eggs from would be one form of culling.)

So if this chick stays like that, it must be something recessive?
That seems logical, if it was not visible in either parent.
Or there is a chance that the two parents have the same color but caused by non-matching genes, and those genes are re-combining in interesting ways in some of their chicks.

It is.
Do you have any Pyncheons?
I sent dovemaiden a private message a while back asking the same thing. I was bummed to learn she no longer had any. I'd really love to get some nice Pyncheons. They're such a lovely breed. It's looking like we're going to have to get some hatchery stock and do a lot of breeding to get them closer to the standard. That takes a lot of time, space, and money

On a brighter note, how are the chicks doing? Did you end up with a pair, like you were thinking early on?

Hey All! Hope everyone is well.
I’ve got 2 dozen eggs with veins in the incubator! 😃
Put them in last Sunday and candled them last night.

This is my current group.
My 3 pullets that hatched last summer, their sire and a brother.
Please excuse the Roos’ combs. We had a sudden cold snap at Christmas and they got frostbite. Both boys lost all the points on their combs. 😢
