Well, just stopped in at TSC to pick up the feed they told me was gonna come in yesterday.

And it wasn't there. Because apparently even though they told me it was ordered and would be coming in, their supplier apparently was out of it. Sigh. Better order direct from Mazuri now, I guess.

Last time I tried to order Masuri on my own I had to order a pallet full. but here in San Diego there are alot of Exotic breeders and the feed store that I regularly frequent Carries Mazuri from Bear to Flamingo ... she just added mine to her regular order.
Do you have a local zoo? You might give them a call.

I was wondering if you had emus!
They are just about the only Ratite I would consider.... But I am not fit enough to give them proper enclosure and or enrichement.... Crazy silly birds. :gig

Guineas are about my speed though. and not so investment heavy that if a predator picks one off I would be devistated. Sounds heartless but its the nature of the Desert. Sigh.

Feed store owner up in my neighbor hood raised Ostridges... Mountain lions took two in one evening during a thunder storm.... Pulled em UP and over a six foot fence to dine in the chaparral... High desert Chaparral is big enough to hide my 2000 lb horse when she went walk about.... goof ball. came back covered in yellow stripes. Pollen

My Guineas on the other hand I have seen them escort a coyote off the premesis.... screeching and charging at him.... all the while he kept looking back as if to say "This Aint Right...."
