Gift certif for bbb... they have practical stuff as well as girly stuff.

Myself, I need an iron...just in case I wrinkle something. My RN daughter stole mine. But I would not consider it a gift. Although...my list is as follows:

wheelbarrow
crosstie hooks
hoofpicks
suet
TSC gift certif
lumber for barn
etc,

so who am I to judge?

I believe the question here was what was the best iron. Not your opinion of the person asking.

I have an Oliso Auto lift. I paid about $100 for it.
When you set it down, little legs lift it to a safe distance from the ironing board. When you pick it up, the little legs retract.

Good luck in your search. And I think you are wonderful to listen to your wife and that you care enough to want to please her by asking opinions on the best product.

ya'all ever seen that commercial with Terry Grant (is that his name the famous dancer?) ironing? When my son was small and saw that commercial he said "Mom, what is that man doing?" that being said I can't help you pick the best iron but I do know your wife picked a great husband, practical things for christmas are great.
