So, my first batch did not turn out - we are doing 50+ bob white quail and got a Little Giant Still Air. I am still waiting for me hydrometer.... threw some water in there just to get it going.....

WISH US LUCK!

This all started innocently. Homeschool project. Now, it is an addiction.

I did grow up on a farmette and had chickens and ducks but we never incubated.... so this is good to do with the kids - great time of year.

Good luck!!

I have found, for me, that quail hatch a lot easier if the temps are between 99.5 and 100.5 during incubation, with at least 45% humidity. Then you'll want to lower the temps at least .5 degrees, and increase the humidity to at least 65% for the hatch. Bobwhites take 23 days, I believe, so incubation times would be day 1-20, and hatch is days 21-hatch.
