Quack! Dear good people from BYC!

I wish we had something like that. So far this is what we were able to come up with.

Hubs is building a duck coop on that pallet. We plan on even having a screen door. The manger has a door that we close at night, which is fine as long as its warm outside. We figure they will need a little house inside the bigger house for cold weather
That looks much better than the little kiddie pool my ducks have! How do you plan to exchange the water in the pool?

So far we just bail it out into the wagon and dump around the trees for fertilizer, and when it's almost empty we pull it out and haul it on the wagon to the front yard to scrub it out. It's only 50 gallons, so not a big deal to clean it. We do this every week, but we're retired and hubs is a busy bee that looks for the next project to keep him occupied.

I know you don't mind a snake having an egg or two, as long as they also eat the rats. But has one of your ducks ever tried to eat one of those rat snakes?
No the rat snake I used to have was really big. At least 5 feet long and 2 inches in circumference. I think he is dead as he ate two ceramic eggs. I will miss him.

That was the size of the snake that "Blanca" duck had in her bill, 4-5 feet and about 1 inch thick.
