quack sexing?

They can make a louder noise but it is still not a quack. Only the females quack, the males would just have a louder raspy sound.

Ok, I am no expert but I have two 14 week old Pekins that definitely "Quack"... and have a new little curly tail feather. What am I missing here?

You must have "heshe" duckies... lmao post a picture of the curl on your ducky, is it possible the curl isn't really the tail feather curl maybe an over lapping feather, I've noticed that before where a feather looked like it was curl. just a thought. ~Julie~

Haha! Maybe. I'm sure it's a drake feather as they both got it the same day. But... I am going to post a video so you know what "quacking" I'm talking about.

Here is a video. In typical style they didn't do any solid quacks because I wanted them to but here they are. Boys, right?

That's exactly what my Pekin drake looks and sounds like. My female Pekin is only 7 weeks and 2 times louder, I agree it is harder to tell when there is nothing to compare it to. ( only one or same sex). My male sounds like he is cussing under his breath, and my female sounds like she is screaming. ( I moved them to my new property, so we can show our current house, and they don't like being left there) they are pissec off lately at me... And you can def tell a quack difference lol

Exactly... We as a species are not as far from animals as people think... Lol
