So... my quail hatched.... 7, yes SEVEN, days early...
I have 3 thermometers in my incubator that all matched up staying between 100 and 99.2 the whole process.
Well one hatched perfect, healthy happy, full of life.
Another...
Well she hatched with a bleeding umbilical, and fused toes...
I quickly stopped bleeding with light pressure.
Applied antibiotic ointment, and then saw the foot.

Otherwise she seems okay...
I dont mind a special needs quail. These guys are for pets. Assuming she lives, what can 8 do for her?
I have heard of curting webbing, but i cans say for sue that 8s how it is fused...

Okay guys i think thel toe issue is making it extra hard for it to grip the ground. That leg is now splaying...
I put it in a shot glass to force the legs to stay together for now. Tying /taping seems so impossible with how ti y she is
It’s a quail shot. It’s what we drink at poker night

Seriously, I think that would work. Just make sure she is getting food and water.

That's great! So you're leaving her toes fused, then?
Im not sure... it def. Just seems to be the webbing that has them fused. And it could cause disability or arthritis later i suppose from thw unnatural way the muscles have to grow. But she is the sweetest thing and loves snuggles and i dont want yo break our bond by hacking her toes apart you know? Lol
