It was 96 but u know they couldn’t take it and kept at the corner of the end of the box due to excessive heat
then that's okay. I like this image...

Hi, Not sure what your issue is. I presume you’re hatching quails out in in an incubator.

Here are some questions to narrow down your issue.

What incubator are you using?

What were you temp/humidity settings for this hatch?

Are the hygrometer/thermometer for the incubator calibrated?

How often did you candle?

When you said the air cells were small in some of the eggs, do you see signs of life in these eggs?

If we can figure out the problem for this hatch, then you can be equipped with more knowledge to help the success of your next hatch :)

Idk why but every video I saw said it takes 4-6 hours for quails to get out and mine are taking the same😄
Once they pip it can take 24 hours before the start zipping, once they start zipping it should take long for them to hatch
I also sprayed the wooden shavings or idk what with liquid sanitizer……………just in case😁
I would not to this, it wont really help and maybe dangerous for the quail. Do you have the bag the shavings where in? Did it not say what it was? If it smells very strongly I would find different shavings to use
