Hello all, I really need some advice...I had a coturnix quail egg pip yesterday morning on the wrong end..I left it overnight to see if it would make any progress and this morning it was the same. It pipped really close to the point so I decided to help it out BC it had been so long. I pulled the shell back and it was alive but never once peeped. The membrane was not bloody at all either so I went ahead and continued chipping away the shell. After the chick came out I noticed it had the regular poppy brown/yellow stuff inside the shell, but there's a long vein still attached to the shell too. I put it back in the incubator with the shell attached and it seems really weak plus its toes are curled in. Should I cut the cord and cornstarch the area or just let it be? The yolk has been completely absorbed, its just the red vein I'm worried about.
