We got our first quail egg today!
Didn't think I'd get it until next week, so planned to order it later on (incubator, candler.)
Candler coming today, incubator coming this week!

You don't want to incubate the very first eggs anyways, so it's all good.

They’re often too small, or yolkless, or infertile, or double yolked, or just don’t have the right composition to make a healthy chick. Wait a week or probably two. There will be more than enough eggs to incubate before you know it.

It seems to be a bit more round then other quail eggs I've seen.
Went outside to give them new water
Looked at it
" wow big poop! "

"THATS AN EGG!! "

@shrimpsilkies gave you a good answer. I would wait 3 weeks. As they continue to lay, they'll start laying bigger, more consistent eggs. Those are the ones you want to incubate, not the first small oddballs.

What if it were fertile, with 1 yolk. should I just eat it and not incubate it??
