Quail dislocated leg

I have a quail hen that I've had in because she had a wing injury. She was healing just fine but then a few days ago when we put her back with the other females one of the other females started picking on her and the other. Both were separated in a cage inside to treats new injuries thanks to that one. And now I've noticed one limping. I checked and found the knee was clearly dislocated. How can I put it back in??? I've never had to do that before and don't know how. She can reach her food and move around but she is not using that leg at all.


Before anyone says anything, the vet is not an option

Well, I had a male who had what I thought was a broken leg (a raccoon grabbed his leg and tried to pull him out of a pen, I've since switched to 1/4' hardware cloth on everything) I moved him into a small cage and made the floor solid with cardboard to ease movement, and made a little cardboard hut for him to hide in, he limped around for about two months and then one day he was walking on both legs again. They are extremely tough little birds.

Unfortunately the injury she already had was causing problem. So while her leg had already started to heal, that other one was not. It was midnight when we decided to end her misery. But that other injury did it before we could.....

Poor thing. It's a sad part of animal husbandry, at least she's not suffering now.

Her original injury was at the elbow of the wing. It proved difficult from day one but it did seem to be getting better with the treatment. But then this clear liquid (which was probably the cause of the swelling she had) pushed the scab off. And no matter what we did we couldn't fix it from that point. The liquid never stopped disrupting the healing. We think it may have been infection that got into the bones.
