yesterday unfortunately one of the female quails injured another females eye. She was left with a bloody eyelid and all red. (Not actually dripping with blood, minor injury!) I cleaned her eye (saline solution) and make sure there were no wounds or scratches. Also gave her critical care formula just to help her out with healing. Kept monitoring her, she was fine. They were also separated even though they kept calling for each other
So this morning her eye is fully healed, not red at all and back to normal. Super happy to see that. But she’s consistently panting. This is what I’m unsure about. I know this could be heat or stress but it’s not too hot and I’m not sure what she could be stressed about. Eating and drinking fine. Fresh home. Walking talking fine. Physical (visible) health all fine. What could be the issue?
