Quail feed using rendered beef.

I understand quail can eat beef. I render butcher scraps and feed my chickens with it. How can I figure what else I need to feed the quail to balance it out? It ends up being about 25% tallow.

I've been feeding it to my chickens and they love it. The rendering process removes a lot of the fat.

but you just said it's 25% fat?

poultry diet should have about 4-5% fat, too much fat in the diet will give the chickens fatty liver which can kill easily. in small amounts, it's probably fine though.

I can extract more fat. I also would mix it with something else. Just looking for numbers for max fat, max protein, etc.
