Thanks for the extra tidbits, folks.

Crushed whole boiled eggs are a great idea for fresh added nutrients. I like the idea of sprouted seeds, too.

I read over the info in the other homemade feed post, but it seems to be lacking the focus I'm seeking in this project and unfortunately I didn't gain much from it. I am really not looking for a cheaper or easier feeding solution - In fact, I am assuming this will be both pricier and harder. I don't feel as though this is a redundant thread. Oh, but I'm stubborn. If I had a dog, I'd probably stick him on a raw diet.

And about natural habitats, that will be a project for my summer, when I get myself set up somewhere more permanent. I will certainly be posting photos for bragging rights whenever it happens though!

very interesting. i think i have the same interest in feeding them as you do. though i still am yet to actually have any to worry about feeding.
