Quail for eggs only?

We bought four quail, hatched a few eggs and then within eight months our friends were hinting that maybe they do not need any more quail eggs. If you want to sell them then ask around at the sushi restaurants.

Also note that once your quail hens are 'spent' (laying less and approaching their life expectancy), their meat will be every bit as tender as when she was 2 months old. You won't be eating tough old bird if you process her for your dinner table.

I was just curious why put them in the greenhouse, what don't I know about that idea :)
I think just to have a place for them. Roos together will kill each other, but with enough space and hiding spots you can keep several together.
