Quail has rainbow legs and can barely walk? (serious question)

Quail legs are pretty fragile. They look bruised. I'd put him in a container deep enough to cover his legs and fill with water and add Epsom salt. (Hope that makes sense.) It should help. But don't let him drink any of it as it is a laxative.

Things happen. Better to have bruised legs then have escaped and get killed by a predator.
