Sorry one egg cracked. I would probably replace the egg that cracked so it wouldn’t be alone.

The egg that was developing stopped after the air cell came completely detached. So this morning I got four new quail eggs and set them blunt side up so there will hopefully not be more problems with the air cell and in three days I'll be able to candle again to check. Fingers crossed

Should be turning them like normal, or would me moving throughout the day be essentially the same as turning them in an incubator?

Try turning them every day.

Tommorow will be day three with these eggs, would it be worth it to try and candle or would it be better to just wait until day 5 or 7. I've found some things saying by day 3 you should be able to see a clear embryo but other things saying you can't even see veins until day seven. Does anyone who has experience know when would be best?

I candle my eggs every day from start to lock down and I have even been able to see development on day 2 so I say go for it (this is my duck eggs but they are all still eggs)

Thanks! it's starting to get light already so I think I'll wait to tonight or tomorrow morning just so it's dark enough to clearly see when candling them. I'm soo exited!
