Hello wise ones. I have a lovely little quail. I think it was shrink wrapped. I noticed it piping 2 days ago, when it still hadn’t emerged today, I broke it free, carefully of course.
Something isn’t right. At first I thought it was wry neck, but it feeds well and easily. I’m feeding it Vitamin E + S, in some watered down egg white. (It can’t stand, wriggles around on the floor).
Then I noticed one wing is over it’s head. I can easily move it to the correct position, with seemingly no discomfort.
I would love some ideas. I am giving it 24 hours of intensive care, after that, it’s dinner for the fox . (I had a terrible time with 5 wry necked babies on my last hatch).
I have attached two photos. With red arrows pointing at the wings. The wings are yellow tipped, the body is black, as is the first part of the wings.
