I want to have about 200 Quail. But I was going to do one big cage. 20ft by 20ft and 7ft high. I was wondering if they would be ok. I’m going to have a cover area with nest box’s.

I keep mine in a large aviary setting....it has challenges but can be done. Sometimes they will use nestboxes, but mostly it’s a daily Easter egg hunt

I use a large aviary for my grow out pen (for my meat quail). As long as they have wind and rain protection they will do great. However they usually don't use it. And like @muddy75 said, its a daily Easter egg hunt . Fun though, none of mine have ever used a nesting box. I even created this under cover big nest with hay/straw mixture and they don't touch it.

We are mostly going to use them for meat. Not really for eggs. I mean if we see them we will pick them up. But we have 40 chicken and 14 ducks for eggs. I haven’t done quail yet so I want to try it and see how it goes.

Are you raising Coturnix or Bobwhites?
Cot's can get by with 1sq.ft./bird, if Bobwhites, you'll need at least 2 sq.ft./bird.

Yes I think that would work fine as long as it's predator proof. Everything loves to eat quail.
