King Quail hens do not have a black ring on their bib and this one is bigger than my hens. It also can raise it's crest. Photo below is next to a hen

Do other quail types have those distinctly colored legs? I have only seen it on king quails. Here’s a video I found of King quails and the hens have black bibs.

I think that this mutation of king can have a black part there and she obviously does. If the bib has white and black than it’s a male. They also have blue and red feathers if they’re male. That’s why she’s a she and the smaller one is a male.

It's definitely a wildtype king quail hen. Some females have a black/brown outline on their bib. One of my females has a very thick outline (back, left).
