Lake Superior in upper Michigan
Hi. My wife and I are considering raising Coturnix as an addition to our meat and egg source. We live on Lake Superior and, due to lake effect, we average 270 inches of snow annually. (Many years over 300") Our low temps are between -15 and -25 in any given winter.

Can we raise quail year around? What special considerations/preparations do we need to worry about?

Thanks,
Dave

I live in MN and I kept my quail year round, so I think you should be fine. I just had them in a aviary covered with tarps and a few boxes with straw/wood shavings. And food available 24/7 of course! Hope that helps!
