quail is not moving

my quail just lost his partner, i don't think he's eating, or drinking i have a heat lamp he i free from drafts and he is just very weak and will not move, i picked him up and set him back down and he could barely keep his balance, he kinda just flopped over and couldn't get up i tried to help him but he is just so weak i am afraid he might die

What happened to his partner? If she was sick, he may be too. I'm sorry I'm no more help, but I am hopeful all will be well!

no, a really cold night got it, and they had a 75w light for heat, but i guess it wasn't enough to keep it alive, the temp that night was in the twenties i suspect, i think he might be grieving, or im crazy, or maybe he has some sort of cold i dunno

oh, yeah , he is outside in my shop in a rabbit hutch under a heat lamp, and he also has a cozy wooden box i made for him
