Quail Leg Injury

i had a quail in my hands for a while then she got spooked and flew into the floor and i think she injured herself as she landed she is hardly moving and i think her jonts may be getting swollen ...how do i know if its a broken leg??

broken bones work the same with humans as birds, hold her again and see if the leg moves as if its a "dead leg" if she can put any weight on it at all, then it isn't broken, if that is the case, i'd just leave her be for a few days and see how she holds up, should be fine

thanks !!! when i actually held her again her leg stays down but when io move the leg for she doesnt seem to hurt but is alil little swollen on the joint ... but she definitely put some weight on it !! i hope she is ok but she seems ok .. i let you know what happens in a few days

make sure to keep an eye on her, maybe in a separate cage if you can, other might see and...maybe peck? not sure. if she can move it at all...should be well enough, will take time tho, and alot of care from you
