Quail living with bantam chickens?

I can't speak about those breeds as I raise coturnix, and I can't speak about disease because these quail would have ended up being culled anyways but...
I had problems with different male quail in my pens and for one reason or another, one day I just decided to toss the naughty male quail into the chicken run... I have had 4 males living with the chickens outside of pens in the main part of the coop since fall. They don't get picked on.

Thanks for responding! What kind of chickens do you have with the quail? That's awesome that they don't get picked on.

Im planning on raising the chickens from day olds and introducing them to the quail by putting the quail in their pens and having the chicks in a cage next to them once a day for around 10 minutes, and I'll most likely be getting the seramas. The general rule is you can try it and you may get lucky, with friendly birds and no pathogens. But always remember that mixing different species, especially one domestic and one essentially wild, can lead to sick, injured, or dead birds.
It’s also different if you plan on keeping a chicken rooster. He may try to mate or fight the quail, and his spurs may cause injuries once he grows them in.

I definitely won't be keeping any roosters, my mom absolutely HATES roosters. I want what's best for my quail though, so I think maybe I just won't get chickens... (edit) I meant to say I won't put chickens in the aviary. don't want to risk them dying or getting hurt. Thanks for all the help! I'll probably just make a separate coop for chickens.

If you have the materials and space and don’t mind building, separate is always safer.
 
If you’re mother likes small eggs (1/2 normal size) for at least 9 months a year you could consider Dutch bantams. Dutch are very small bantams too, just a little bigger then Serama’s.

I have no experience with mixing them with quails. can’t help you with that smart question.
