Quail mixing

I know you are supposed to mix different types of quail, but I’m wondering if I can mix some female coturnix quail with my flock of 4 female and 2 male bobwhite quail? I’m not sure if there’s going to be any issues since I’ll only be adding females. The bobwhites are quite docile.

That's generally not a good idea. Different species might get along, but if they don't it will get ugly fast.

As @Nabiki , said it could and probably will get ugly real fast. I raise Bob's and they in general, do not tolerate another species in their pen. In some of my pens I run Bob's and pheasants together, I sometimes see the Bob's running the pheasants around the pen.... the pheasants are actually scared of the quail. Bob's can be very aggressive. Sometimes they won't even tolerate their own species!
