Quail Moving and Bedding

I have quail in a brooder inside my house. They are ten days old and I was wondering when to move them on to woodchips. Also when will they be able to go live outside with nine other quail?

For quail I use a supper mini wood chip that I can get at my local feed store. I take a book and compress it in the tank before I put them in and it works great.

As far when you can move them outside you cam decreases the temp in the brooder by about 5 degrees per week until it's close to outside.

You'll probably want to introduce them to the others carefully, to avoid any fighting. Keep them separated for a bit, let them see each other and get used to each other, then put them together and keep an eye on them to be sure they aren't fighting.
