Quail noise vs chickens

(Coturnix quail) If you get a good male, the whole covey is almost silent. My boy is big, slow, and not terribly interested in hens, which isn’t great for breeding (tho all my eggs were fertile this summer) but he has crowed only four times his whole life.
The hens make very tiny peeps that are hard to hear unless you’re right next to them, but they’ll blend into the usual outdoor birdsong. Even their egg song is quiet, sounds like whistling wind.
I would say a single chicken hen is noisier than a whole covey of quail.
