Quail not laying.

I’m new to quail, bought 10 coturnix a week ago that had supposedly just started laying. Got them home, had three eggs that day. They have not laid another egg. I am feeding them a game bird feed that is 30% protein and 1.50% calcium and I add some chick grit. Anything else I can do. Any advice would be appreciated.

Most likely just stress from the move, getting use to the new surroundings. They should resume laying in a week or two.

Stress affects birds in different ways. I drove 200 miles to pick some quail up last Saturday. I picked up about 50 birds. Got them home and the next day had eggs. Each day I get more. But some birds will lay next day or I have even had them lay during the ride home before, some will not lay for you two weeks. Are you sure you got young birds? I know people who have bought birds from not so reputable people and bought birds that were well past their prime and not laying anymore.
