Quail not laying?

Hi, so I got quail in May and 1 received 1 egg in September- since then I have not gotten any more eggs.

Is this because the daylight is altering or is it something I'm doing wrong?

A lot of things can keep your quail from laying. Any kind of stress or not enough light.
How many roos do you have to hens? If you have more than one roo to three to five hens, they're probably not going to lay. If there's a predator hanging around, they won't lay. If they're not getting 14-16 hours of light/day, they won't lay.

If they're happy, they will lay nearly every day.

Were you getting eggs before September?

Bobwhites should actually be housed in pairs, so maybe that's why they're not laying. The females can actually fight to the death over a male.
