Thread updated with chick pics. They are doing very well! I changed their bedding to wood pellets and it seems to be working quite well.

I have few 55gal blue plastic barrels and consider cut in half and put wire mesh at the bottom (2 pen with 1 barrel). My biggest concern is too hot inside the pen in summer. What is the temperature in the pen during summer when outside is 95-100F?
