Quail pipping externally and then dying.

I'm using a separate humidity gauge.
What did you keep the humidity at for the first 15 or so days?

When the humidity is kept too high the eggs don't lose enough moisture and at the end when it's time to hatch there's too much moisture in the egg in which the bird usually drowns.
 
60% but I think that was a little high.
That would be way too high in my book.
At this point there's absolutely nothing you can do to change the outcome of two high humidity throughout the incubation. Except cross your fingers and wait.
