I had 2 male button quail. I got a female for one of them. I removed one of the two males (I am going to sell him) and right after doing so, the remaining male freaked out (I had also just added the female's cage to integrate them) and he was repeatedly flying up on the ceiling of his hutch (about 1-2 feet tall) and hitting his head, about 10-12 times in 3 minutes before calming down. He is usually very active, darting around, exploring etc., but keep in mind I just took out his brother and friend of 4 months, so he is probably lonely. He is still eating, scratching around, pooping, etc., just a little less active. He'll just sit down sometimes and seems not slower, just not as active. Is he ok?? Should I keep the other male around in case something happens to this guy? His head looks fine and he's not acting in pain.
