Quail sick?

So is it walking? My quail chicks are continually falling asleep in awkward positions and keep making me think we lost one! Will it walk when you push it along?

No and its like gasping for air and throwing its neck around

But what are you feeding them? If they're not getting a good game bird diet, it can cause the symptoms you're describing. If it hasn't been getting enough to eat, that means ght too.

In my experience that means the chick or duckling had already died or is just barely holding on.
