Quail Still Not Laying any Eggs

And These Birds Are Still In The Same Pen You Have Them Pictured In Correct? Because Lemme Tell Ya--- A Blind Monkey Could Steal Eggs Out Of That Pen! Almost Anything In The World Could Steal Eggs Out Of That Pen--- At Least 1 Whole Side Is Regular Chicken Wire---- Snakes, Coons, Or Almost Anything Else Could Get Eggs Out Of That Pen. Heck The Birds Could Kick Eggs Out Of That Pen If They Had Any Aim At All.

I have 2 bobwhite quails one a hen and other a rooster . Their about 2 month+ old and no eggs. I have then in a large outdoor aviary. I also live in south florida so the coldest it has been is mid 40s °f.

As far as I know, bobwhites don't mature till they are 20+ weeks so you might have to wait a few more months for eggs.

Or you could stick a Kentucky fried chicken advert on the aviary... Tell them lay me eggs or.... :)

I'm having the same problem with my quails. I've only had ONE EGG since getting them (probably around 2 months ago). I've posted in other areas, but I'm having issues with them flying upwards and hitting their heads at night. For this reason, I've been keeping a small desk lamp on for them at night. The light seems to help them with their night flying, but I'm afraid it's messing up their internal clocks.

Do you think the lack of dark is causing them to not lay?
